Planning & Procurement Manager / Director 

The Planning & Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing material planning and procurement operations across China and Vietnam sites. This role ensures efficient supply chain coordination, cost control, and timely customer order fulfillment while supporting business growth and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

1. Team Management & Cross-Site Coordination
  • Lead and manage Planning and Procurement teams in:
    • Dongguan, China and Hanoi, Vietnam
  • Supervise daily operations and ensure alignment between both sites
  • Develop team capabilities in planning, sourcing, and negotiation
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Production, Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams

2. Production Planning & Material Control
  • Oversee demand forecasting and material requirement planning (MRP)
  • Ensure material availability to meet production schedules and customer delivery targets
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock control to avoid shortages or excess
  • Coordinate production scheduling alignment with procurement activities

3. Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Develop sourcing strategies to ensure cost competitiveness and supply stability
  • Lead supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management
  • Monitor supplier performance in cost, quality, and delivery
  • Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans

4. Import/Export & Compliance
  • Oversee procurement-related import/export operations and customs processes
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations and company policies
  • Support cross-border material movement between China and Vietnam

5. Cost Control & Process Improvement
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and value improvement programs
  • Establish and monitor departmental KPIs
  • Improve workflow efficiency and enhance ERP/MRP system utilization
  • Support operational optimization projects across both sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines
  • 5–10 years of experience in Planning and Procurement within Medical or Industrial ODM/OEM manufacturing
  • Experience in SME manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven experience in team supervision and cross-site coordination
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
