About the Role

We are looking for motivated and analytical candidates to join the Bank’s Business Strategy and Planning function. This is a multi-level opportunity suitable for both junior and experienced banking professionals.

Candidates with not less than 2 years of relevant experience may be considered for the position of Strategist, with salary package up to HK$30,000 per month.

Candidates with stronger banking experience, solid business planning exposure, management reporting experience and the ability to work independently with senior stakeholders may be considered for Senior Strategist,with salary package up to HK$80,000 per month.

The successful candidate will support or lead, depending on seniority, strategic planning initiatives, business performance analysis, management reporting and cross-functional project coordination across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the formulation and implementation of business strategy and development plans
• Prepare strategic reports, business performance reports, management updates and presentation materials
• Collect, consolidate and analyse business information from different departments
• Monitor project progress, track key milestones and follow up on action items
• Coordinate with business units, frontline teams and supporting departments on strategic initiatives
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and business performance review to support management decision-making
• Maintain project trackers, reporting templates and internal documentation
• Assist in ad hoc business planning, strategic analysis and management projects as assigned

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Candidates

For candidates considered at Senior Strategist level, responsibilities may also include:

• Lead or independently manage business strategy and cross-departmental projects
• Work closely with senior management and department heads on strategic priorities
• Identify business issues, analyse performance gaps and propose practical recommendations
• Prepare high-level management papers, executive summaries and board / committee materials
• Drive project implementation, stakeholder alignment and timely delivery of key initiatives
• Provide guidance to junior team members where necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, Data Analytics or related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, business analysis, strategy, consulting, project coordination, management reporting or related areas
• Candidates with more extensive banking experience, strong project ownership and management reporting exposure will be considered for Senior Strategist
• Experience in corporate banking, commercial banking, business management, strategy planning, frontline business support or project management is an advantage
• Strong analytical mindset with good attention to detail
• Good Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience in preparing reports, dashboards or presentation decks is preferred
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Independent, organised and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
• Immediate availability is preferred
