This role will provide the opportunity to work on different bank level strategic initiatives across all the Businesses and Functions of the Bank, covering the following:
Chief of Staff (“COS”): Support key activities of executive office including but not limited to governance papers and presentation materials for external and internal meetings, relationship management with key internal, external and industry bodies and monitoring of business results; support CEO sponsored stakeholder events; moderate cross-business collaborations
Corporate strategy: Support formulation of the Bank’s medium term strategies, support execution, coordination, tracking and evaluation according to the Bank’s strategic planning framework; support strategic business studies that are cross-Businesses, Functions and/or geographies in nature, derive actionable insights and make appropriate recommendations to the Bank’s senior management
Corporate development: Support corporate development projects including acquisitions, disposal, joint venture and strategic alliance; support governance and management of the Bank’s corporate investments and alliances and exploit synergies in accordance to the Bank’s strategic priorities
Responsibilities:
Provide support to enable Senior Executives effective and efficient execution of management agenda and internal and external communications
Support on presentation materials to articulate strategic plan, strategic analysis and business performance to support decision making, ensure bank-wide alignment and solicit approval
Mobilise and collaborate with businesses and functions to devise strategic initiatives, manage implementation and monitor performance
Perform fact-based analysis to develop relevant hypothesis for discussions and recommend strategic options for consideration by Senior Executives
Participate in meetings and events, providing support as needed, including taking minutes and coordinating follow-up actions.
Be trusted advisors to working partners through daily working relationship
Build and develop relationship with the Bank’s internal stakeholders
Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and industry associations, to assist the Senior Executives in fulfilling their role effectively
Assist with ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the Senior Executives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, management, or a related discipline)
Relevant solid experience in sizable organizations, experience in financial services will be an advantage
Thorough attention to details, strong organisational skills with ability to work independently and under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to accommodate personal styles to different situations
Good analytical and problem solving ability
Positive attitude with great sense of ownership and responsibility
Team player and demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence
