Job Summary

Our client is a well-established financial institution in Hong Kong. They are now looking for an experienced capital markets professional to join their Capital Markets Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing ECM and DCM transactions, supporting IPO processes, managing investor communications, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful transaction execution.

Candidate with more solid experience may be considered for Director level. Title and package will be commensurate with experience and interview performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute ECM and DCM transactions, including IPOs, placements, rights issues, bond offerings and other capital markets transactions
• Manage key execution processes, including investor sourcing, roadshow arrangements, bookbuilding, pricing, allocation and settlement coordination
• Support IPO execution workflow and coordinate with syndicate members, CMIs, sponsors, legal advisers, investors and other professional parties
• Assist in handling OC-related responsibilities and ensure transaction processes are conducted in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
• Coordinate with internal teams, including Sponsor, Sales, Research, Settlement, Compliance and Operations, to ensure smooth transaction execution
• Liaise with external parties, including issuers, legal counsel, institutional investors, professional advisers and the Stock Exchange where necessary
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients and investors to support transaction success and long-term business development
• Prepare transaction materials, market updates, investor feedback summaries and internal reports
• Monitor market trends, capital markets activities and investor sentiment to support deal origination and execution
• Perform other duties and ad hoc assignments as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or related disciplines
• Holder of SFC Type 1 licence is a must
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ECM, DCM, investment banking, capital markets or corporate finance within financial institutions
• Solid hands-on experience in ECM and/or DCM transactions, including IPO execution, share placements, bond issuance, bookbuilding, roadshows, pricing and allocation
• Good understanding of Hong Kong IPO rules, capital markets regulations, OC responsibilities and CMI workflow
• Familiar with Hong Kong stock market, equity transactions, bond transactions and institutional investor coverage
• Strong execution capability with good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, coordination and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
• Proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word
