Our client, a well-known international company, is now looking for Server administration Specialist Engineer join within their team.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

 Report duty at production site or backup site,

 Perform system administration and housekeeping tasks,

 Perform system monitoring and tuning when necessary,

 Able to provide support on system incident whenever receiving alert during office and non-office hours,

 Handle system incidents and troubleshoot technical problems,

 Conduct impact analysis of the system change request,

 Implement system change according to approved change request,

 Perform system backup and restore procedure,

 Perform system security review,

 Review and conduct disaster recovery drill,

 Assist in patch review and deployment,

 Supervise vendor to apply product patches, e.g. Solaris patches, firmware,

Oracle database patches, application server patches etc.,

 

 Supervisor vendor to perform hardware maintenance and replacement

 Generate system reports/ statistics,

 Maintain up-to-date documentation,

 Participate in application related and infrastructure projects,

 Work with application team to provide application support and participate

in roll out activities, and

 Liaise with vendors for projects and technical services.

 

3.3 Requirements on the On-site Support Staff

 Tertiary education in Computer Science or related discipline,

 Minimum 4-5-year experience in server administration in various platforms

(Microsoft Windows Server, Solaris and Linux),

 Strong knowledge in Unix script programming, Solaris zones virtualization, server resources allocation, NetApp SAN storage

management, Oracle Secure Backup, Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager, and Oracle middleware products including Oracle Weblogic,

Oracle Unified Directory, Oracle HTTP server, and Oracle Access

 Knowledge in network management, firewall, and domain name service,

 Self-initiative, creative and innovative with analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills,

 Fluent in spoken Cantonese, and good in English,

 Experience in administrating Application Manager of ManageEngine to monitor server availability and performance is an advantage, and

 Experience in Oracle OBIEE is an advantage
