Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership as a member of the executive team, partnering with the CEO, CFO, and business leaders to shape corporate strategy and long-term value creation.
- Work in close partnership with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, lead IPO planning and investor relations, coordinate SEC/HKEX filing processes and external audits, and align capital allocation with business priorities. Act as the CFO’s primary partner in board and investor communications and serve as a delegated decision-maker on day‑to‑day finance operations.
- Lead all corporate finance functions including FP&A, accounting, treasury, tax, controllership, and financial systems; ensure strong internal controls and SOX readiness.
- Drive fundraising strategy and execution across private rounds, PIPEs, and public offerings; lead IPO planning, prospectus preparation, underwriter engagement, and roadshow coordination for listings on major exchanges including HKEX.
- Own investor relations and external communications with public and private investors, analysts, and rating agencies; craft the company’s financial story and manage market expectations.
- Manage capital allocation, cash forecasting, and working capital to optimize runway and support R&D, data infrastructure, and go‑to‑market investments.
- Oversee M&A strategy and execution—target evaluation, financial diligence, deal structuring, integration planning, and valuation.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance organization; recruit senior finance talent and establish career development and succession plans.
- Partner with legal, product, engineering, and operations to ensure compliant, efficient processes and data-driven decision making.
- Implement and evolve financial systems and KPIs to measure progress across revenue, gross margin, ARR, LTV:CAC, churn, unit economics, and other AI-specific metrics (e.g., cost per inference, data labeling economics).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS/HKFRS where applicable) and regulatory requirements; lead external audits and financial reporting cadence for board and public disclosures.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior roles (VP/SVP/CFO) within large, publicly listed or pre‑IPO technology, enterprise software, or AI organizations.
- Direct, demonstrable experience leading one or more IPOs from pre‑IPO planning through pricing and aftermarket stabilization. Must have hands-on experience executing a Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) IPO within the past three years.
- Strong background in finance functions at large companies (Big Tech or Fortune 500 experience preferred), with experience operating at scale and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven track record in capital markets, investor relations, fundraising, and financial communications.
- Extensive M&A experience, including due diligence, valuation, integration, and post-acquisition performance management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable presenting complex financial narratives to boards and investors.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or MBA preferred. CPA or relevant professional qualification a plus.
- Strong technical fluency with financial systems, ERP, BI tools, and data analytics platforms; ability to define and monitor AI‑relevant financial KPIs.
