Our client is seeking a Senior Eyewear Frame Designer to join their Hong Kong headquarters.

Responsibilities:
Eyewear Design & Concept Development
• Lead the concept-to-launch design cycle for optical frames and sunglasses, including materials (acetate, metal, titanium, injection), colorways, hinge structures, and ergonomic fit.
• Perform trend research, color forecasting, and competitor benchmarking to develop seasonal collections that match customer and market demand.
• Develop 2D technical drawings, 3D visualizations, mood boards, and full specification sets to support prototyping and production.

Client Presentation & Design Storytelling
• Present new collections, design concepts, and product inspirations to internal leadership, international clients, and global optical brand partners.
• Translate complex technical details and design intent into clear, compelling commercial narratives that drive client confidence and sales.
• Represent the company at international optical trade shows and participate in client roadshows.
Product Commercialization & Factory Liaison
• Travel regularly to factories and production facilities in Mainland China and overseas for prototyping, tooling evaluation, sample fit testing, and quality improvements.
• Partner closely with Engineering, R&D, and Merchandising to ensure design feasibility, control costs, and meet production timelines.
• Support market research, client co-design sessions, and vendor alignment as needed.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design, Eyewear Design, Fashion Design, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of proven experience in eyewear frame design (optical frames and/or sunglasses).
• Deep knowledge of eyewear materials and construction (e.g., acetate, stainless steel, beta-titanium, TR90) and production craftsmanship.
• Strong proficiency in 2D/3D design tools including Rhino, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, and KeyShot.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel to Mainland China and overseas.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken), and strong Cantonese and Mandarin.
