Our client – Global financial company, is now looking for Senior Analyst / Associate within their team.
Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Analyst / Associate to support the research and analysis, the value creation and performance optimization of portfolio companies across green energy and climate technologies sectors. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and stakeholder management to support portfolio growth and expansion.
Roles & Responsibilities
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor portfolio performance (financial, operational, and strategic) through regular reporting, board meetings, and on-site visits
- Prepare regular portfolio updates for internal stakeholders, investment committees, and other stakeholders
Coordination& Value Creation
- Coordinate and execute post-investment value creation plans for portfolio companies
- Facilitate resource integration between the firm and portfolio companies, leveraging internal networks, industry partners, and functional expertise (finance, legal, HR, tech)
- Collaborate with and support portfolio companies in follow-on fundraising and operational optimization
Industry & Technical Analysis
- Monitor and analyze developments in industry value chains
- Assess emerging technologies and processes in industrial decarbonization globally, including key regions in Asia, Europe and the United States
- Evaluate competitive landscapes across relevant sectors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate technical and commercial findings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Energy, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Green Energy Technologies, Chemistry, or other relevant fields
- 3-5 years of experience in consulting, corporate development, investment & research, or relevant industry roles (energy, oil and gas, green technologies, industrial materials, chemicals etc.); candidate with less experience could be considered as Analyst role.
- Track record of supporting business development in value creation, operational improvement, or growth initiatives
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Reasonable understanding of renewable fuels & chemical, energy storage technologies, industrial processes
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin)
- Intellectual curiosity, continuous learning mindset, proactive, good communication skills
