Onsite with HSBC - Product Support Specialist (Contract)

 We're currently seeking an experienced professional to join the HSBC as Product Support Specialist 

  • Manage the production environment and provide triage capability for the Cash Equities Execution platform.
  • Primary responsibility is troubleshooting and resolving errors for end users and assist other engineers by contributing to product development and improving processes.

This role may be required to work on weekends

 

Budget - 130k per month
Contract-12months


Responsibilities

• Production environment monitoring and automation of monitoring tools
• Troubleshooting issues to quickly analyse available data to arrive at a root cause of the problem
• Managing the issues and requests list to ensure open queries and problems are dealt with promptly
• Incident management process including issue investigation, performing post incident reviews, management of stakeholder expectations, and delivery of resolutions
• Contributing to product development by recommending changes to improve supportability and efficiency

Requirements

  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have previous experience of working in Front Office IT preferably on Equities execution platform
  • Must be able to work closely with Front Office business stakeholders
  • Must have advanced problem resolution skills with ability to work independently and effectively under pressure
  • Must have experience of Unix, Linux, MS Windows and Scripting with knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Must have experience with Fidessa Cash Trading Platform
