We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join the HSBC team.


Principal Responsibilities

  • Standardize Procurement processes on source to contract & request to pay in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Increase Purchase Service Requests and drive Purchase Order compliance using management information and by proactively engage and influence Business stakeholders in Sri Lanka and Philippines to achieve 95% PO compliance.
  • Support in the contract remediation exercise, and expiring contracts management.
  • Monitor & push non-compliance spends back to right buying channels.
  • Educate and enhance country knowledge to Procurement systems, policies, processes and the right way of purchase/pay supplier.
  • Support the effective management of country Procurement operations to ensure timely and compliant (accordance with bank policy and the relevant local regulatory requirements) processing and payment of all approved invoices through purchase orders .
  • Act as agent for change to ensure effective and consistent implementation / application of Group/Regional Procurement strategy and Target Operating Model.
  • Support activities designed to motivate the team and third party providers in order to deliver a compliant, efficient, cost effective, timely, high quality service, whilst supporting the management of risks.



  • Support the implementation, maintenance and communication of accurate standardized management information. Complete variance analyses to support financial and business management.
  • Strong on data analysis, and drive performance using management information.
  • Drive Purchase Service Requests, Purchase Orders and buying channel compliance.
  • Effectively communicate and implement Global/Regional Procurement Operations goals and standardized processes.
  • Maintain a customer driven service, whilst critically reviewing and challenging non-standard requests.
  • Support on escalated queries and complaints to drive fair outcomes and high levels of customer service
  • Awareness of performance against plan and take corrective action as required.
  • Support the driving of increased productivity and standardization.
  • Ensure standardized reporting to enable effective operational management, and timely resolution of risks and issues.
  • Identify areas for standardization and migration within local processes. Align processes to consistent Group processes.
  • Ensure a continual critical review is maintained to identify areas of higher processing cost, especially those processes that are being influenced by business areas adopting their own non-standard processes for operational procurement related processing.
  • Support Regional Procurement team on local implementation of productivity and risk and quality control initiatives from Group Procurement Target Operating Model
