We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our HSBC team as HBAP Finance on the Cloud - Business Analyst.

Principal responsibilities

 

The business analyst contributes to the designated project – HBAP Finance on the Cloud, supporting change requirements & design and delivery. The role holder will support more experienced business analysts to undertake the quantitative and qualitative analysis in order to elicit clear requirements from the business and translate these effectively throughout the project lifecycle. The business Analyst will work closely with both AMH and HASE teams.

The Business Analyst will

  • Prepare clear documentation and communication of project analysis, requirements
  • Coordinate user requirements gathering and process definition workshops with the business
  • Support testing and working through issues with users and IT
  • Monitor, track issues, risks and dependencies on analysis and requirements work
  • Support HASE Finance on the cloud team in compiling project related information, offering guidance as needed
  • Apply experience of approaches, tools and techniques for gathering, clarifying and managing business requirements.
  • Support colleagues to define, develop and translate requirements at specific stages of the project lifecycle, developing an understanding of different types of requirements and how these translate into test conditions.
  • Support implementation and day to day running of requirement management systems, change control and document standards.
  • Work in alignment with the Business Transformation Framework

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Educated to graduate degree level in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or related field
  • Strong understanding of HSBC structures, processes and objectives across the Group
  • Strong knowledge of Global Finance – functionally and operationally
  • High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs
  • Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with stakeholders
  • Proven ability and experience in problem solving and critical thinking
  • Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group
  • Proven abilities in working across cultures
