We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join HSBC as a CLM Analyst (12 Months Contract).

The CLM team sits in the first line of defense and evaluates the quality of the client information gather and consolidated for the client onboarding, customer due diligence (CDD) and KYC. Our objective is to centralizing key FCC knowledge in one team to better support the front office with consistency and quality of client data, at the onboarding and throughout the client lifecycle

CLM Analyst 
Contract duration: 1 year
Salary Range : HK$ 25,000 to HK$ 36,000 subject to experience

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the EDD review and writing of the source-of-wealth profiles for GPB on boarding of PCS by Jade customers, in compliance with the internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • To guide and partner with the front office in identifying and documenting the information required to satisfy the Bank’s client due diligence (CDD) policies and processes
  • To outreach client directly in obtaining the required CDD info
  • To execute and review negative media alerts, and performs Sanction & PEP screening
  • To perform reviews and validation about the quality of CDD information collected, in line with HSBC policies during PCS by Jade client on boarding
  • Keeps colleagues and stakeholders informed, and takes accountability for following through on outstanding issues raised within the CLM team to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of service
  • Prepare and keep track of the stats required for MI reporting and status monitoring
  • Keep track of the execution status to ensure that target and deadline is met. Prepare and produce metrics and reporting for management review
  • Assists with other tasks as required
 
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • Ideally some working knowledge of AML, regulatory compliance within the banking and financial services industry
  • Strong teamwork initiative
  • Good research and communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally with all levels of staff and management
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Internet Explorer
  • Minimum of a B.A. degree or relevant work experience
  • Strong English fluency and written skills
  • Additional languages welcomed
  • Experience in producing metrics and presentation for management reporting

  • Plans and prioritize work appropriately considering its importance and urgency in line with business needs
  • Takes responsibility for completing assigned tasks to a high quality standard
  • Daily discretion within assigned authority

Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of all HSBC policies and procedures (CDD, AML and Sanctions)
  • Take personal accountability to keep their procedural knowledge up to date
  • Adhering strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; escalating control weaknesses

  • Each employee must understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically HSBC Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
