We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our HSBC Team.

Title: Associate, ETD and OTC Clearing Operations 

Salary - 35k per month

Duration: 12 months

To support the growth and development of the OTC Clearing business across the HSBC Asia Pac businesses and Support the existing ETD Core processes. The position will have day to day responsibilities for the margining activities for both House and Client Cleared businesses based on activities covering various Asia balance sheets.

The principal responsibility of the Business Analyst is to lead and execute analysis activity for one or more programmes.

They may be located in a variety of areas of HSBC, they may be located in projects as well as in established BAU teams.

It is possible that the Business Analyst works on multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

* Managing the capture, analysis and documentation of business process (including IT processes)

* Designing solutions or change interventions

* Oversee change management activities which can include diverse tasks such as timeline planning to stakeholder engagement

* Manage or collaborate in change interventions such as training and communication

* Tracking and documenting progress and managing status reporting

* Managing implementation of solutions

* Risk identification, risk reporting and devising interventions to mitigating risks

* Budget management and forecasting

* Management of external service providers

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Mitigate House and Client credit risk by collecting collateral from counterparty to protect the exposure in treasury derivatives transactions
  • Operate OTC Clearing system to monitor workflow and update relevant back-office systems to reflect margin and margin movements
  • Perform various reconciliations and preparatory work for clients by looking at  internal and external systems to ensure seamless delivery
  • Supervise the day to day Clearing Operations process carried on in the Core Processing Team
  • Be a key point of contact for OTC and ETD Clearing processes for internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform daily and intraday margin call processes to confirm House and Client movements
  •  Complete margin call process and execute collateral payment instructions under tight schedules and by communicating seamlessly with colleagues across time zones

  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills and product knowledge

  • Ability to work with clients and build rapport with internal stakeholders

Principal requirements:

  • A degree holder, preferably in a business or finance discipline
  • General banking experience at a major bank
  • General knowledge of treasury products and documentation standards
  • Strong analytical, mathematics and problem solving skills
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
