We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Data Management Manager.

Data Management Manager - Role Purpose

The bank has set out the required control outcomes to applicable downstream regulatory reporting processes.  Controls were mapped into categories including report production, data and infrastructure controls. Regulatory reports that meets the new Cross Risk Policy focusing different risk types: Retail credit risk, Wholesales credit risk, Traded risk, treasury risk, etc. are in-scope for control assessment work to measure the effectiveness of the report production processes controls.

The successful candidate of this hiring should be able to effectively execute and drive changes required to implement the aforementioned controls.  The role will be located in HK and will be key to support the implementation of the report production, data, and infrastructure controls in Hang Seng Risk and Compliance.

Principal responsibilities

• In the Integrity of Regulatory Report programme, work with Group/ Region/ Countries project teams, IT teams, and other functions to deliver data quality controls implementation and remediation initiatives.
• Process, data and sourcing identification and analysis. Collaboration with process owner and data owner for data quality profiling and data quality issue management.
• Ensure project deliverables comply to internal data policies.
• Provide effective updates and escalations to project team and management.
• Duties related to data management in the Bank’s Risk functions.

Requirements

• 3 years or above of experience in business analysis/ data management/ project management/ risk management in banks/ finance sector.
• Graduate in business, information systems or related disciplines. Knowledge in finance systems, data processes and finance reporting are in advantages.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese to facilitate working groups, and good stakeholder management as the role will face across all different levels of management in the bank locally, regionally, and globally.
• High attention to detail with ability to understand and assess complex and large volumes of information and business processes.
