We are currently seeking a high caliber Manager / Asst. Manager – Transfer Agency to join our HSBC Life team.

Key responsibilities:

Managing a processing/servicing team and ensure that optimum levels of operational efficiency are achieved to capitalize on the growth of registrar/transfer agency business. Assisting in coaching and training subordinates/newcomers and provide guidelines when necessary to team members on various issues.

To plan, manage and control all aspects of team operations to ensure maximum profitability and attainment of business and operating objectives. To take up / lead an ad hoc project as assigned from time to time.

Principal accountabilities

  • Check and authorize all instructions and ensure they are processed correctly and punctually.
  • Follow up outstanding issues
  • No claims, no complaint from external and internal clients on our deliverables and services.
  • Meet all requirements or service level agreements documented in Operating Memorandum.

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Provide professional investor services to fund managers and investors
  • Liaise with relevant business partners such as CS teams, BD, Centre of Excellence and other entities to ensure quality service is delivered
  • Identify clients’ needs and address appropriately with prompt response
  • Notify supervisors / senior management all complaints and with appropriate findings immediately
  • Service delivery is done in accordance with agreed service requirement and standards

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Team Management
  • Enhance relationships with other teams within the department and other departments.
  • Lead ad hoc projects
  • Allocate jobs according to staff’s strength.
  • Help resources planning, define key staff
  • Work closely with teammates and share experience and guidance proactively.
  • Promote team work across all teams in department.
  • Work closely with CS and others to facilitate effective investor services.
  • Lead various projects as assigned from time to time.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Thorough understanding of agreed procedure / flows and client’s specific requirements.
  • Help to streamline and standardize the daily processes
  • Meet all requirements or service level agreements documented in Operating Memorandum.
  • Adherence to the daily operation policy and procedure.
  • Procedures are updated to reflect business risks.
  • Define high risk area and develop control procedures.
  • Raise ideas and recommend ways to improve work quality and efficiency.
