We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Valuation team as Senior Manager Trading Wind Down (TWD) Global Finance team, HSBC.

Principal responsibilities


• Perform valuation adjustments (IPV, BO, Model uncertainty, other FVA, XVA and PVA) in accordance with global valuation guidelines for all business lines for all asset classes (Equity, Rates, Credit, FX, Repo & XVA) in Hong Kong
• Ensure accurate and timely calculation of reserves and performance of controls. Prepare for and contribute to the Management Information that is generated to meet TWD requirements
• Ensure Valuation FIM requirements and other applicable accounting / regulatory standards are met
• Keep abreast of industry information, engage the business on all matters regarding TWD and be the principle contact for internal and external audit and regulators
• Work closely with the wider Product Control team and keep them up to date on the latest developments about TWD
• Ensure good communication and develop strong relationship with Trading, Independent Model Review, Market Risk Management, PC Analytics and other areas of Finance
• Work effectively alongside the Business Leads, Valuation Leads and Valuation teams located in London and Paris

Key Requirements


• Higher Degree with a strong numerical and quantitative background (e.g. Mathematics, Financial engineering or similar)
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Valuation Control / Product Control
• Good understanding of vanilla and complex derivatives products, market risks, pricing parameters (including market data) and Valuation framework
• Good appreciation of accounting and regulatory guidelines, rules and requirements
• Good understanding of Funding, Liquidity and Capital requirements for Global Markets
• Strong IT skills required, including experience with VBA, SQL, Python, MS Excel and MS Access
• Great interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate key quantitative issues in an understandable way
• Excellent written English and oral communication skills
