We’re currently seeking Operational Resilience Manager to join our HSBC team.

Title: Operational Resilience Manager
Salary: 74k
Duration: 6M initial contract (renewable)

Principal responsibilities
• Support a pilot of the Important Business Service (IBS) Business Impact Assessment (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and help to identify scope of work to ready the IBS data for this process, including conducting a gap analysis of business continuity information in current IBS mapping.
• Support the BSOs to update their IBS mapping to reflect changes to the Business Continuity Management tool (BCMNow) (implemented 1Q23)
• Support the Business Service Owners (BSOs) in managing their risk by facilitating and creating Important Business Service (IBS) Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), supporting the BSOs to develop recovery strategies where gaps exist.
• Highlight vulnerabilities to the BSO as identified in the IBS BIA.
• Support departments to update department level BCPs in BCMNow, the Bank BC Planning tool.
• Provide training sessions for the BSO and BSO community on their BCIM roles and responsibilities
• Provide the necessary reporting to support the management of the timeliness and quality of the Operational Resilience IBS Business Continuity Lifecycle Activities
• review the content of Business Continuity (BC) Plans in BCMNow in comparison to the information identified through the IBS maps (dependencies such as third parties, IT systems, Global Service Centres, RTOs, RPOs etc.)
• Consistently evaluate the project to identify areas for improvement and take action where necessary.
• Escalate actual and potential issues to Operational Resilience Project Manager.
• Maintain awareness of applicable regulations on BCIM and Operational Resilience.
• Ensure compliance with applicable, local regulation and HSBC guidelines, making sure to employ the higher standard of controls.
As Operational Resilience is a fast-evolving programme, the activities required will develop.
