Fund accounting service is one of key service in HSBC Securities Services, Fund Accounting Platform Change team provide and delivery project & solutions to Fund Accounting / Trade Processing operations team to support our business in different regions. The Trade Capture team would capture the incoming trades from the client and ensure that it is fed correctly downstream to the Fund Accounting Platform. From there, the Fund Accounting platform would produce Fund Net Asset Value, Cash flow, Balance Sheet and other fund portfolio data to Fund Accounting team and Fund/Asset managers
The Opportunity:
The Business Analyst will need to demonstrate excellent delivery skills to ensure that their portfolio of projects is delivered using the prescribed methodology, within agreed timeframes and on budget, with the mindset of continuously improvement and efficiency. The role will require strong influencing and analytical skills to work smoothly with stakeholders globally with different backgrounds, views, and priorities.
What you’ll do:
§ To manage the overall progress of projects, work with business, product, and other platform counterparts;
§ To work cross-functionally with process owners and business SMEs to elicit requirements, analyze, design and develop business solutions to ensure efficiencies and risk mitigation;
§ To work out optimized solution for enhancement relating to core business applications to adapt the new requirement from business;
§ To work with external clients for project delivery with best practices and align with organization standard & goals
What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)
· University graduate with a degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, or related discipline;
· A minimum of 3 - 8 years of relevant experience in in fund services or financial industry;
· Good understanding of fiduciary duties and administration of unit trust, mutual fund, accounting, valuation, custody and banking services;
· Knowledge of security services platforms, functions and products is necessary;
· Ability to build relationships with Senior stakeholders and networks across the business.
· Strong communicator both verbally and written with a comprehensive understanding of content and context;
· Excellent presentation skills and can tailor communication methods for the audience and environment;
· Strong analytic, problem solving and decision making abilities.
