Our client, a prominent main contractor in Hong Kong with decades of delivering landmark developments, invites applications for an experienced Insurance Manager to strengthen our risk management function.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end management of work injury cases and Employees' Compensation claims, including incident investigation, Liaison with Labour Department, insurers, medical follow-up, and settlement negotiation.
  • Oversee EC insurance and other relevant insurance policies (e.g., public liability, contractors' all risks), including policy procurement, renewal, coverage analysis, and ensuring adequate protection for projects and personnel.
  • Ensure full compliance with Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, Employees' Compensation Ordinance, and other relevant insurance regulations.
  • Develop and improve internal protocols for claims management, incident reporting, and risk prevention in collaboration with site teams.
  • Manage insurance budget, evaluate cost-effective coverage options, and control expenditure without compromising compliance or quality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance brokers, providers, and external parties to negotiate favourable terms and resolve issues promptly.
  • Handle employee relations matters related to work injuries and provide expert guidance to management on legal/compliance risks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and generate regular reports on claims, insurance policies, and risk trends for senior management.

Requirement: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related disciplines.
  • Relevant experience in HR and/or insurance management, with focusing on employee compensation / work injury claims.
  • In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and Employees' Compensation Ordinance; experience in general insurance policy management is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in labour-intensive industries such as construction, logistics, courier/express delivery, or transportation strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple cases and priorities under pressure.
