Key Responsibilities

  • Vision & Direction: Formulate and execute a forward-looking research agenda centered on GenAI, LVLMs, and Agentic AI, ensuring our organization remains at the forefront of safe, responsible, and trusted intelligence.

  • Trend Translation: Identify emerging paradigms and convert them into structured research initiatives.

  • Cross-Divisional Synergy: Act as a central champion for AI adoption, empowering peer technical directors to elevate their research output and system capabilities.

  • Talent Orchestration: Build, mentor, and inspire a large, elite group of researchers, engineers, and domain specialists within a culture of rigorous technical excellence.

  • Core Platform Architecture: Oversee the creation of a foundational Agentic AI platform designed to ensure scalability, robustness, and reusability across all downstream teams.

Qualifications

  • Executive Leadership: 15+ years within technology research and development, featuring at least 8+ years steering large, multidisciplinary teams in corporate R&D or applied research settings.

  • Core AI Mastery: Deep technical foundation in AI/ML, with proven expertise in architecting scalable platforms and staying ahead of developments in GenAI and Agentic workflows.

  • Vertical Acumen: Demonstrated history of deploying enterprise-grade AI solutions within financial services or related domains (experience in intelligent manufacturing or digital health is advantageous).

  • System Deployment Insights: Solid familiarity with modern software architectures, production pipelines, and system integration methodologies.

  • Commercial Track Record: Proven success bridging the gap between academic/lab research and market adoption, successfully navigating early-stage proof-of-concepts and pilot scaling.

  • Communication & Diplomacy: Exceptional ability to distill complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, ranging from C-suite executives and commercial partners to government regulators and funding committees.
