Location: Hong Kong (Head Office in Hong Kong Island, with potential cover Singapore, Thailand, and China sites)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across multi-country operations in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and China.
- Prepare consolidated financial reports, statements, and variance analyses compliant with local standards
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, inventory costing, and supply chain finance tailored to perishable goods in the vegetable/agribusiness sector.
- Implement cost optimization strategies for farming inputs, logistics, cross-border trade, and retail channels in the region.
- Assess financial risks from currency fluctuations, commodity pricing (e.g., produce/fertilizers), tariffs, and regulatory changes across Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and China markets.
- Handle tax compliance, planning, and filings in multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with local authorities
- Partner with operations, sales, and procurement teams to support expansion decisions, such as new product lines, market entry, or sustainable farming investments in the region.
- Supervise a small regional finance team and ensure robust internal controls, audits, and reporting across markets.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial role.
- Essential: Demonstrated hands-on experience in the Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and China markets — including multi-jurisdiction financial management, cross-border operations, regulatory compliance, and preferably in agribusiness, FMCG, food production/distribution, retail, or related perishable goods industries.
- Strong understanding of local accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory environments in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and China.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, advanced Excel, and ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks); experience with regional consolidation tools is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a track record in cost control and financial optimization in dynamic markets.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and collaborating across diverse cultural and regulatory contexts in Asia.
