Title: Content Management Specialist

Department: Content Studio


The Content Studio is responsible for managing HSBC’s public websites (PWS) globally. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Content Management Specialist.


  • The role holder will use their knowledge of digital marketing, content management strategy, content governance, UX/UI, SEO and optimisation to deliver a best-in-class experience across PWS, critically assessing project briefs, user journeys and site performance to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Design intuitive and user-friendly pages to drive customer and engagement through PWS
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at a local, regional and global level
  • Oversee the execution and quality of work by the centralised delivery team
  • Oversee Quality Control in output
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, escalating issues in a timely manner when necessary
  • Identification of key risks, issues and interdependencies and providing appropriate mitigation strategies or escalating as appropriate
  • Troubleshoot and facilitate the resolution of technical issues with the PWS and/or content management system



  • Experience delivering digital best practice in areas such as: website content or e-commerce, content strategy, web analytics, SEO, SEM, writing for web, optimization and accessibility, UX, UI
  • Awareness of User Centered Design methodology, and strong customer focus
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects for international stakeholders, each with their unique set of priorities
  • Pragmatic decision-making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments based on a range of factors, determine the implications and make recommendations as needed
  • Strong relationship management skills: you’ll need to communicate technical issues, resolve differences, and influence stakeholders
  • Respectful of different cultures, working with stakeholders from across Asia Pacific and Global teams largely based in UK


Even Better If You Have:

  • Professional qualifications or relevant experience in digital marketing / media advertising / digital communications
  • Finance or banking industry experience and relevant knowledge of working in regulated markets
  • Experience using a Content Management System (Adobe Experience Manager preferred), Jira and Confluence or other project management tools
