Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Compliance Officer to join a reputable law firm in Hong Kong. This role will support the firm’s compliance and risk management functions, ensuring adherence to legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliance training programs and monitor completion records
• Provide advice on legal ethics and professional responsibility matters
• Support conflicts checking processes and assist in matter intake risk assessments
• Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures
• Ensure confidentiality, privacy, and proper data handling practices
• Assist with internal compliance reviews, audits, and documentation of compliance issues
• Respond to client or regulatory enquiries as assigned
• Support the firm in strengthening overall compliance and risk management framework

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree holder (candidates with legal secretary experience are welcome to apply)
• Experience in law firm compliance, legal ethics, or risk management is preferred
• Knowledge of legal ethics and professional responsibility (bar admission preferred if required by the firm)
• Familiarity with conflicts checking, matter intake processes, and/or compliance tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail
• Well-organized, responsible, and able to handle confidential information
