- Build a brand from scratch
- Own the content & the room
- Ground-floor growth trajectory
We are representing an innovative, venture-backed student residence brand in Hong Kong that is completely redefining the student living experience. Moving far beyond traditional corporate leasing, they design spaces that are deeply rooted in local neighbourhoods, fostering an active community featuring speaker evenings, creative collaborations, and authentic living experiences.
Role Description
This is a ground-floor hire. You will be the brand’s human presence – both online and in-building. One day you’re directing a shoot in the common room for Xiahongshu (小红书). The next you’re hosting an exclusive dinner and drinks for new residents from six countries. You own the voice, the vibe, and the community that makes Yuè worth talking about.
What You’ll Own
Content & Social Media
- Build and run Yuè channels on for Xiahongshu (小红书), Instagram, and TikTok / Douyin from launch
- Creat original content - photography, short-form video, lifestyle posts – shot primarily in-building with real residents
- Develop a content calendar tied to the academic calendar, mov-in seasons, and cultural moments relevant to our students
- Drive UGC strategies; turn residents into brand ambassadors and identify student micro-influencers for seeding campaigns
- Track analytics and report on follower growth, engagement, and inquiry attribution monthly.
Community & Resident Experience
- Lead welcome orientations at move-in – set the tone from day one
- Design and run a programming calendar: welcome nights, study sessions, cultural exchange dinners, local neighborhood collaborations
- Build and manage resident WhatsApp / WeChat groups that feel like community, not broadcast channels
- Source local partnerships for resident perks – gyms, cafes, airport / train pickups, SIM cards on arrival etc.
- Be the first point of contact for resident questions and feedback (non-maintenance); flag experience gaps to the team
Brand Execution
- Apply Yuè’s brand guidelines consistently across all physical and digital touchpoints
- Brief and liaise with our branding agency on campaign assets and collateral
- Assist with welcome kits, communal area presentation, and building signage
Who You Are
- 2-4 years in social media, content, community or hospitality roles – lifestyle brand, hotel, co-living or creative agency background preferred
- Native or near-native Mandarin speaker; strong English – you naturally code-switch between both
- Deeply fluent in Xiahongshu (小红书) culture and algorithm – this is the role’s single most important technical skill
- Warm, social and genuinely energized by people – residents should feel lucky to know you
- Strong visual instincts; comfortable directing a shoot and editing short-form video
- Familiar with Hong Kong’s non-local student community – ideally, you were one
- Self-starter, high taste, get things done
Bonus
Existing network in HKU / PolyU / CityU student circles; experience with CapCut, Lightroom, or Canva; prior work with WeChat Channels or Douyin.
