 Job Duty:

• To conduct safety patrols to ensure compliance of legislations, Safety Management Manual and other occupational safety and health (OSH) requirements;

• To conduct safety checks on the dangerous goods storage to ensure compliance with fire safety requirements;

• To vet work permit applications by checking the readiness of safety precautions
  prior to work commencement and carry out surveillance checks;

• To liaise with the Safety Supervisors of contractors on safety-related issues;

• To instruct contractors to rectify any non-compliance, make improvements and suspend unsafe operation; and

• To assist in accident investigation, safety promotion and other OSH activities.

Requirement:

• A Combined Certificate for Safety and Health Supervisor issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Council, Construction Safety Supervisor Course Certificate issued by the Hong Kong Institute of Construction or equivalent plus three years of relevant experience, preferably in shipyard industry; and
• A valid Certificate of Competent Person and Certified Worker of Confined Spaces Operations.
