Senior Product Manager / Head of Product — Trading Platform 

Our client is looking for an experienced Head of Product to lead the product team for trading platform. You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle—from 0 to 1 (new build) and/or 1 to N (scaling and iteration)—ensuring the platform delivers an excellent user experience while operating in full alignment with the Hong Kong regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product roadmap and iteration plan for a compliant digital asset platform under Hong Kong regulatory requirements.
• Set clear product goals, success metrics, and delivery milestones across core platform modules.

• Deeply participate in compliance process design and translate regulatory requirements into product features and user flows.
• Seamlessly embed compliance capabilities (e.g., onboarding, governance, controls) into the product experience without compromising usability.

• Build, lead, and mentor an agile team of Product Managers.
• Establish scalable product development processes (PRD standards, sprint rituals, stakeholder alignment, release governance) and support team growth.

Own functional definition and ongoing iteration for key domains, including:

• User identity and account system
• Asset accounts and wallet architecture (platform-side)
• Fiat on/off ramps and payment channels (deposit/withdrawal)
• Core trading capabilities (spot and related features as applicable)
• Asset security and risk controls
• User-facing product experiences across App/Web

• Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Engineering, and Operations to ensure launches meet legal/regulatory requirements and respond quickly to market needs.
• Enhance operational efficiency by building and standardizing middle-/back-office product capabilities and workflows.

• Track Hong Kong and global crypto/Web3 regulatory developments (e.g., VASP, stablecoin regimes) and adjust product strategy accordingly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of internet product management experience.
• 3–5+ years in a crypto exchange, FinTech, or a traditional licensed financial institution.
• Strong background in crypto, securities, or financial trading products.

• Strong understanding of SFC requirements for virtual asset trading platforms.
• Experience with compliance system build-out and/or license application preparation is a strong plus.

• Highly analytical and structured; able to manage complex business scenarios.
• Deep understanding of compliant user systems, asset account/wallet management, trading systems, and clearing/settlement processes.
• Able to identify key product issues, define practical solutions, and drive execution to completion.

• Strong in product architecture and modular design.
• Proficient in prototyping; able to simplify complex workflows into intuitive product experiences.

• Proven people management and cross-team leadership in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and alignment skills.

• Fluent in English and Chinese (spoken and written), with the ability to produce high-quality product documentation and solution proposals.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• CFA / FRM or blockchain-related technical certifications.
• Hands-on experience launching and operating a Hong Kong licensed exchange platform.
• Deep knowledge of custody/security technologies (e.g., MPC, HSM) and/or CeFi infrastructure.
