Responsibilities:
- Support project planning, coordination and management of assigned publicity, education and public engagement programmes/campaigns/events of CHO and project coordination of events/activities attended by seniors of CHO and organised by its working partners;
- Liaise with working partners, including but not limited to co-organisers, sponsors,
supporting organisations, tourism-related organisations, non-profit-making organisations, heritage partners, art, music, cultural and community services agents/partners/providers, venue providers, service contractors, government bureaux/departments, etc.; - Arrange and co-ordinate onsite and/or virtual meetings, as well as site visits;
- Co-ordinate internally and externally on the manpower and logistic arrangements for the launches of events and other promotional activities, etc. and maintain close and robust relationships with working partners;
- Generate new ideas and execute plans for promotional activities/materials/souvenirs of CHO to optimise public’s awareness on archaeology and built heritage;
- Handle matters relating to quotation for procurement of products and service in relation to CHO’s publicity, educational and public engagement programmes/campaigns/events and sourcing of souvenirs;
- Liaise with IT specialists to facilitate their design and build, refinement and optimisation of the online enrolment system(s) for CHO’s events and perform system tests; and
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CHO (e.g. information search, budget forecast and monitoring, market research, drafting of speeches/briefs/reports, provide support in handling the newsletter and social media matters with respective vendors on ad-hoc basis as and when required by the CHO).
Requirements:
- Possess at least ten (10) years’ working experience in one or more of the field(s) of
public relations/public engagement/communications/event management/marketing prior - Work for at least one (1) department/bureau in the HKSARG or statutory body in Hong Kong or non-profit-making organisation or tourism-related organisation or public relations/event management agency or professional/educational institutions in the past five (5) years;
- Possess working experiences in event management for at least one (1) project related to the promotion of event/programme/campaign in the areas of archaeology or built heritage or arts or culture of Hong Kong; and
- Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English, and word processing software
applications, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
