Job Duties:

  • aprovide technical advice and consultancy on cyber security, and controls from an operational perspective to various teams in the Office and other units of the University;
  • conduct security assessments on information systems to ensure policy compliance and provide recommendations on remediation for non-compliance issues;
  • provide advisory services from a security perspective on IT projects/initiatives to ensure that security elements are considered in system and process design;
  • conduct incident response and forensic investigations for security violations/breaches, and recommend solutions;
  • lead security-related projects to strengthen the security architecture of the University;
  • perform troubleshooting and provide technical support for information security solutions/infrastructure;
  • provide non-office-hour standby/emergency support duties as required; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.

 

Requirements:

 

  • have a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;
  • have at least five years of relevant post-qualification working experience, including a minimum of three years of experience in providing cyber security consultancy and IT security risk assessment services to large organizations;
  • be proficient in handling the vulnerability management process, including but not limited to report consolidation, solution recommendation, exception handling, and pen-test coordination;
  • have extensive experience in using various security scanning tools for technical assessments;
  • have proven experience in delivering training on cyber security-related topics and policy review;
  • demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • be capable of leading projects or operations with minimum supervision;
  • be proactive and able to perform well under pressure; 
  • be proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
