Our client is a well‑known department store operating home goods, food and apparel and owns thier private labels. This role will oversees the Quality Assurance of the APAC & overseas manufacturing partners This peron will lead a team of 10 staffs and reports directly to the GM (Japanese)
Responsibilities
- Oversee product manufacturing, quality assurance, and audit/compliance activities for private-label products.
- Manage the end-to-end food production process, including product development, proposal preparation, production coordination, and delivery follow-up.
- Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate production schedules and monitor project progress to ensure timely product launches and deliveries.
- Review and maintain product-related documentation and compliance records.
- Support cross-functional communication to ensure smooth execution of product development and production initiatives.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in food production, product development, quality assurance, quality control, or supply chain management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Japanese for business communication, including participation in meetings, preparation and review of documents, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in English for communication with suppliers and vendors, as well as understanding regulatory and compliance-related documentation.
- Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Open to candidates of all nationalities, with eligibility to work in the relevant location.
