Assistant Accounting Manager | up to 48K

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare monthly management financial statements and internal reports
- Assist with interim and year-end financial reporting in compliance with HKFRS and Listing Rules
- Coordinate with external auditors and support statutory audit processes
- Ensure adherence to the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance and other relevant regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the preparation of annual reports, corporate announcements, and financial disclosures
2. Accounting & Month-End Operations
- Maintain full sets of accounts for designated entities or business lines
- Process journal entries, accruals, and month-end closing activities
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, including ageing analysis
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and properly documented
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
- Assist in annual budget preparation and quarterly forecast exercises
- Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful insights to support management decisions
- Support cost management initiatives and analyse clinic or business unit performance
4. Taxation & Treasury Support
- Assist with profits tax calculations and statutory tax filings
- Support treasury-related activities, including cash flow tracking and analysis
- Communicate with banks and external counterparties as required
5. Internal Controls & Process Enhancement
- Maintain and continuously improve internal control frameworks
- Support the implementation and enhancement of finance systems and operational workflows
- Participate in ad hoc initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, fundraising activities, and internal restructuring projects
Requirements
- HKICPA or ACCA qualification (completed or in progress) is preferred
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- Prior exposure to listed companies or healthcare, medical, or retail sectors is an advantage
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in audit coordination and listed-company financial reporting is a plus
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage tight deadlines
- A proactive, collaborative team player who performs well in a fast-paced environment
