Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to oversee and drive end-to-end Human Resources operations across our Hong Kong and Mainland China entities. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of hands-on HR management experience, with deep working knowledge of both Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and PRC Labor Law.

You will act as a strategic advisor to leadership while managing day-to-day HR practices—including cross-border employment alignment, talent acquisition, compliance, payroll/benefits administration, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

 

2. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Oversight
  • Manage HK Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) schemes and Mainland Social Security (五险一金 - 5 Insurance & 1 Housing Fund).

  • Oversee accuracy in monthly payroll processing and taxation filing (e.g., HK Inland Revenue Department tax returns for employees and PRC individual income tax/IIT).

  • Conduct regular market benchmark reviews for cross-border salary and compensation structures.

3. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Manage recruitment campaigns across Hong Kong and Mainland offices, sourcing top-tier talent.

  • Onboard new hires and structure seamless cross-border remote or hybrid work policies.

4. Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and labor dispute resolutions in both jurisdictions.

  • Implement and drive performance appraisal processes across regional teams.

  • Foster a cohesive workplace culture across cross-cultural and multi-office teams.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with proven exposure to dual-jurisdiction HR operations across Hong Kong and Mainland China.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

  • Legal Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of:

    • HK Employment Ordinance, MPF regulations, and HK tax guidelines.

    • PRC Labor Law, Labor Contract Law, PRC Social Security system, and IIT regulations.

  • Languages: Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (both written and spoken) is essential.

  • Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and cross-border team coordination capabilities.
