We are looking for a high calibre Manager Payments Product to join our HSBC Team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong expertise in payments and transactional banking; monitor market dynamics and competitor activity to stay current on product trends, pricing, propositions, and customer expectations.
  • Own end-to-end customer journeys for transactional banking and payment products and services within a defined AMH Sub-Value Stream.
  • Use usability testing, research, and customer interviews to identify customer pain points and feature opportunities, shaping the product roadmap and prioritisation.
  • Lead product development and deployment, including business case creation, requirements definition, cross-functional alignment on delivery approach, execution, launch, and post-launch performance management.
  • Collaborate across departments and teams to align experiences and solutions, ensuring programmes and projects meet banking standards, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strengthen team effectiveness within the Payments Products team by fostering collaboration, coaching colleagues, and supporting day-to-day business management.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in product management
  • Broad understanding of banking products; experience in payments and transaction banking and digital projects is a plus.
  • Customer obsessed – with a track record of using customer insight to shape prioritisation and decisions
  • Strong commercial acumen - ability to utilise data to support decision-making (and hold others to account for making data-driven decisions), takes ownership and delivers upon commitments
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong critical thinking; able to work with stakeholders from various functions and disciplines to drive business outcomes
