Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability, stability, and performance of mission-critical trading platforms and supporting technology infrastructure.
- Manage day-to-day production operations across servers, networks, databases, and end-user computing environments.
- Maintain effective backup, recovery, and system monitoring processes to support business continuity requirements.
- Oversee user access management and technology controls to safeguard business and client information.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technology and operational risks within a regulated financial services environment.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulators to support technology reviews, compliance assessments, and remediation activities.
- Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to strengthen operational resilience.
- Enhance cybersecurity controls covering network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and access governance.
- Develop, maintain, and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure operational readiness.
- Lead technology initiatives including infrastructure upgrades, platform enhancements, system implementations, and security improvement projects.
- Manage external vendors and service providers to ensure service quality, performance, and compliance with agreed service levels.
- Support and administer enterprise technology platforms including Microsoft 365, VPN solutions, and workplace technologies.
- Deliver technical guidance and security awareness across business teams to promote technology best practices.
- Contribute to technology governance, policy development, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Solid experience within brokerage, securities, banking, fintech, or other regulated financial services environments.
- 8+ years of experience, strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems administration, network technologies, and production support operations.
- Experience managing technology risk, cybersecurity controls, regulatory requirements, and audit processes.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments, enterprise networking, and database administration.
- Understanding of business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and operational resilience frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively within a fast-paced, business-critical environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred
- Exposure to electronic trading platforms, capital markets, or low-latency trading environments.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, automation tools, container technologies, or modern DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, or scripting languages.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, ITIL, or related qualifications.
