About this role:
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Group Head of Corporate Finance will play a vital role in shaping the financial strategy and driving overall business growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the Company’s goals and objectives, as well as providing recommendations on financial planning to support our rapid growth in markets
What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role:
Collaborate with the Group CFO and senior management team to ensure the financial health and long-term success of WeLab
Develop and implement comprehensive plans or strategies that solve complex business challenges and ensure successful delivery of business objectives
Analyze financial information to provide insights and recommendations to senior management on a wide range of business topics, enabling data driven decision making
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes
Evaluate, develop and implement capital allocation strategies and optimize the Group’s capital structure, unlocking efficiencies and maximize profits
Identify and assess financial risks to the businesses, and develop robust risk mitigation strategies and diligently monitoring implementation.
Support the Group CFO in financing efforts, board reporting, and strategic financial communications
Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including bankers, investors and other financial service providers, fostering strong partnerships.
Conduct meticulous review of financial-related legal contracts and provide professional advice to drive business initiatives forward
Lead and coach the team to support the businesses and safeguard the Group’s financial integrity
What is required and what we’re looking for:
An experienced financial executive with at least 10+ years of successful track record in a commercial environment, regional work experience is an advantage
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline
Qualified Accountant with HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of PRC GAAP and IFRS and solid Big 4 background is required
Experience in banking and finance industry is a must
A high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment
Ability to manage stakeholders across geographies, businesses, and seniorities
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proficient in strategic and tactical thinking about the business
Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing and developing a finance team
Fluency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
